This link will allow you to access the current list of LI species as submitted to Mycoportal, the public face of the North American Mycoflora Project, a continent wide collaboration of professionals and amateurs to enumerate and inventory the macrofungi of NA. Thirty-five fungal herbaria are involved, and LIMC is contributing exsiccata (dried specimens) to the NYBG Herbarium and species photographs to Mycoportal.

This project is ongoing and far from complete, so the photographs you will see by clicking on a species name come from all corners of the country. Clicking on the photo will bring up information re the collector's name, locality, and date. Clicking on the USA map will show all the site (colored circles) where the collections originate, and particulars (and sometimes photos) are evoked by clicking on the circles.
